New Brews, New Equipment

We've been busy improving our craft

The last couple months have brought some really incredible innovations to Mad Horse.  We have upgraded our brewing systems to 7bbl.  This means we can make twice as large batches.  Which give us the ability to let the beer condition for longer and create a superior brew.
We are proud to offer our latest and greatest.  First out of the gates are:

Pony Pale Ale - This is a full bodied hoppy pale ale with a refreshing citrus aroma.  But weighing in at 70 IBU's not quite hoppy enough for an IPA.  With a slight kick it is still a pleasant drink that will make you say I want more.

Oak Aged Bourbon Stout - Quite possibly the perfect stout. Hints of oak and a slap of bourbon balanced out by the malty smoothness.

It's a Trap Abbey ale - This is strong ale with its light aroma, crisp finish and deep red body is a sipper at 8%abv but you won't want to sip.

tax season

What could be more fun than taxes.  Even better, what could be more fun than trying to do taxes for the first time for a new business.  As if trying to organize piles and piles of receipts wasn't bad enough, trust me the yearly IRS taxes are just the beginning.  The new year also brings with it;

end of quarter town taxes
end of quarter TTB taxes
monthly state sales taxes
ABC virginia annual permit renewal fee tax
insurance renewal ( not tax but feels like it )

all these on top of standard operating costs.   Can you say ouch.  I can.  If I could give myself advice, I would say,  "I hope you didn't think starting a business was gonna be fun."   or even profitable.

I would compare it to having your finger nails pulled out with a pair of rusty pliers in a hot tub full of acid while be forced to watch Glee.
